GIULIANO GAIGHER

Giuliano Gaigher (Treviglio, 1964) starts his activty as glass master. After this beginning he studied painting and sculpture with the master Stefano Travi, thus discovering the glass sculpture. A lot of exhibitions, in Italy and abroad, contributed to his consacration as a sculptor and designer. The poetics of Giuliano Gaigher is philosophy of everyday life, of the clean gesture, of an essential looking. It’s suggested by his choices of materials, between the brightness of light and the opacity of stones, concrete, wood. This is confirmed by the titles of his works, titles without syntax, playing on the sound of the word; they often rest in the tautology, as if the artist does not take care of of the communication, but only to express. Art for thinking.
